VIDEO TUTORIAL:
WHAT IT IS:
LearningExpress Library is a Learning Platform where you can access test preparation information for entrance exams, practice skills, and do other tasks that can help you further your education. You can also learn how to prepare for your career, by building resumes and cover letters, and practicing interview skills. (LearningExpress is brought to you through the Kentucky Virtual Library.)
WHAT IT DOES:
LearningExpress is a repository of test-taking and career-building information. Use it to:
-Find and practice entrance exams, like GED, SAT, and ACT
-Career prep information, like resume building, interview skills, etc.
-Practice and build on your academic skills.
HOW TO SEARCH:
You can use the search box at the top to look for different information in LearningExpress, but the most useful way to use LearningExpress is to browse one of the “centers” listed below.
-Career Preparation: Go here to find many different entrance exams for programs like Nursing, EMS, Social Work, Cosmetology, etc.
-GED Test Prep Center: Go here to work on your high school equivalency diploma.
-Job & Career Accelerator: Go here to work on interview skills, build a resume and cover letter.
-College Admissions Test Preparation: Go here to work on SAT, ACT and other college entrance exams.
-School Center: For K-12 students to work on their skills.
-College Students: Go here to work on your college-level reading, writing, math, and science skills.
-Adult Core Skills: Mostly for those who need to build their English skills, if English is their second language
-Computer Skills Center: Go here to learn how to use the internet and your computer.
-Recursos Para Hispanohablantes: Resources for Spanish-speaking learners.
CREATING AN ACCOUNT:
Because LearningExpress tracks your progress as you build your skills in each module, it is recommended that you create a personal account to use LearningExpress. Click on “Sign In/Register” at the top to create your free account. You will confirm that your institution is Madisonville Community College, and then you will be asked to enter your name, email, and create a password. (You do not have to enter a student ID number or Course Section number.) Once you’ve registered for your account, you can then bypass the MCC library login in the future, and access your personal account any time by going straight to LearningExpress’s website, at https://www.learningexpresshub.com.
