There is a 10 cent daily fine per each overdue book with a maximum fine of $10.00 per book.  The purpose of fines is to encourage materials to be returned promptly and in good condition so that others will also have access to them.  The daily overdue fine for DVDs is $1.00 per day.

Patrons who have overdue items will not be allowed to check out additional library materials until the overdue items are returned. A library hold will be sent to the Business Office should a patron have overdue items and outstanding fines. The patron will not be able to register for additional classes and current class grades may be held until the fine is paid.

For lost items, the charges will be the replacement cost of the item, plus a $10.00 processing fee.

Patrons are responsible for materials checked out under their name. If a patron claims that a book has been returned, the library staff will search the shelves for the item. If the item is located, the patron will be released from liability for that item. If the item is not located, the patron must fill out a return claim form. While a search is made for the item, additional fines will not accrue. If the item is not located, the patron will bear the responsibility for that item.
